Went Dancing

Met Lilian and her French frens to go chiong. Didn't want to go at first cos i dun have anything nice to wear for going to clubs. i travel very light for last week business trip and my clothes are mostly business wear. But i went anyway, she is the only gal and it's quite dangerous. Somemore she said her angmoh fren's brother is quite cute and wanna introduce to me.

Have not danced for a long time. But boy, this club we went to was quite hip and fun. Wah, i was quite popular leh. There's quite a couple of French guys trying to hit on me. The dancing's really fun. But i think me too conservative cos i get uncomfortable getting too close if i dun know the person well in advance.

The brother's quite cute but clubs are not the place to meet someone serious la and i am not looking for flings.

Lost my Passport in Paris

Checked into the hotel last afternoon to realise that i have lost my passport. Was so worried.... I still had my passport with me when i was waiting for the train at the St Quentin Station. So the passport must have been lost either on the railstation or the metro. Retraced my path to the metro and asked the lady on duty for help. Stupid women. All she can say is sorry, there's nothing i can do. *#$#@. Asked her to help call the main station to check and she can only say "i dun know.....i can;t help you. you have gotta go look for police..."

So i went to look for the police. And they just take my statement at the police station and tell me i can go. So i ask them aren't they gonna ask me for more information like where i last lost sight of my passport etc so that they can help me find my passport. And the clerk just say, you have gotta go and look for your consulate #%$*&@) upon which i ask them for the tel. number and the idiot said, you have gotta check the internet. I tried again and ask him if perhaps he may have the rail station number which i can call myself to check. He said sorry he dun have and i just gotta check the internet myself.

Thus in the end, i went back to my hotel to check the internet for the consultate and main rail station contact number. The service staff i called was really helpful. And gave me both the metro and rail station number i can call directly to check. Luckily someone found my passport and had returned it to the main rail trainstation. I was so so so relieved.

Passed by a beggar inside the metro tunnel. Felt so glad to have found my passport i gave him all the euro coins i have with me.

P/s: While checking the net and calling the train station to check, met a fren on line. Was really glad to meet someone to share my frustrations and anxiety so proceeded to describe what happen only to have my sentence cut off with "okok" after i reveal the railstation just confirm that they have found my passport....You know, okok = stopstop, you dun have to continue...

But i have not even really started...there's no one here and i just wanna share my experience and frustrations mah.

even my good fren is mean to me. this is really not my day.

Dun kick your fren when she is down OK?

Appalled

This hasn't been a good week for me. I am feeling down today again. Dunno if i will have a depression soon. Things that appalled me and are further condoned by people who should have better judgement makes me sick.

Maybe this is my character flaw. I should learn to be more detached to all things.

Motivation

I have been doing leg exercises and sit ups every morning since i returned from St Tropez cos i want to be lean again. But i stopped since 2 days ago. It's really quite boring and there's no motivation at all! i hope my office have some cute guys then i'm sure i'll have the motivation to work hard. kekeke.

Sunday, 7th August

Woke up at 1pm today. Yesterday was a long day and i had returned to hotel in the wee hours. Now i have a cold. Took 2 panadol for cold but it doesn't seemed to work. So i warmed a bottle of chicken essence which a friend had so kindly sent to me few weeks back. I don't really like the taste of chicken essence but it is supposed to make your body stronger.

Went to BBQ at Sue Mee's house yesterday. It was very kind of her to invite me. The BBQ was quite fun and Sue Mee's cooking was superb. Her friends and friends friends were an funny bunch of people too.

Was quite tired at the end of the day. But Alice who was supposed to send me back to my hotel kept asking me to join them at this "Asia Party" at Franfurt city. Didn't really feel like going and actually i had planned to wake up early so that i can visit the muesum tomorrow. But somehow, with Elena also joining in to persuade me, i decided to check out the place.

The disco was very crowded and have many vietnamese and Chinese, and a couple of ang mo. Very interesting. And the crowd was quite crazy too. One of their frens, whom we met there was quite crazy so it was quite entertaining for me. Most of the time, i just sat there watching people. It was really interesting.

Back in Frankfurt

What a week!

Reached Abbeville on Sunday night. The train ride was 6 hours to Paris and another 3 hours to Abbeville. Abbeville is a small town at the northern part of France. Nice and quiet and near to the coastal part of France. I was dead tired when i finally arrived but my customer was very nice to come and fetch me.

Went to Le Touquet for dinner after meeting on Monday. Le Touquet is a "Parisan Beach" according to my customers. It is supposed to be a popular beach for parisan and there are many tourist from Paris and London there. (London is just opposite the Channel)

Will upload pic when free cos too tired liao

Saturday Afternoon in Frankfurt

It is 3.40pm in frankfurt now and i am still in the office. The office is located within the city shopping district and from my window, i can see all the big boutiques outside. Just directly outside my window is the Rolex and Patek Philippe watch gallery. And there's Gucci down the street, and Aigner and LV ....All the big brands, all so expensive....can only do window shopping here.

Anyway, i'll rather be doing window shopping than to be stuck here. But there's still tons of work not cleared and issues which are brewing and which i have not really looked into and i think they are gonna explode soon. And i have a few meetings in France next week and i have not prepared yet. So, i will be stuck here for the rest of the day.

Just bought a train ticket earlier in the morning for tomorrow's journey. Really last minuite. But the notice was very last minuite too. The customer heard i was in europe.Great, he said, can you visit us next week. Frankfurt and France are neighbours, but not exactly close too. I checked the net for air tickets but the cheapest air ticket cost like 500 over euros just for an hour flight to paris. so i decided to take the train. The intercity train to Paris and a connecting train to the town where my customer is located . 8 hours to my destination. but 190 euros only. :)

I dun think i can accomplish my ambitious action items today. Think i better get back to work!
